Tweet Love from The City

Hard to believe we are less than a week away from the annual Furniture Bank Chair Affair Gala to be held at the International Center Toronto http://www.internationalcentre.com/home.html. October 30, 2015. Time truly flies when you're having fun, or at lease when a little blue bird is involved.

How excited was I to have been asked to participate in this years Chair Affair Events! Then to be told of the exciting news of Twitter's involvement and the working in collaboration with Twitter Canada. The collaboration would mean the design of the first ever Twitter Chair.

After completion of the chair design, it was time for a close up with the city and the one and only Norm Kelly. Everything about this morning would have been memory filled. To see the chair placed in front of the now Famous Toronto sign make my heart smile. Dreams do come true, even the ones you couldn't see coming.

Show Time in Full Bloom ( Part One )

Hungry for a burst of colour and thirsting for anything but snow,
a visit to the National Home Show was just what was in order.
From the stunning garden creations to the newest and latest in home décor,
I left feeling spring ready!

Lux Landing

With more options being offered to home owners, creating the perfect back yard oasis
couldn't be easier. Just a little imagination the list of possibilities become endless.

Could you not just wrap a busy day at the office overlooking this set up - I love the layering of
plants, boulders and flowers, and  of course the running water is key to this bit of perfection.

Bubbles and bubbly perhaps.... the first thing that came to mind when I came across
this tub and tulip installation. Just make sure your neighbours aren't the peeping type...

Sitting Pretty
There is nothing I like more than getting together with friends and family over
the summer months. Some of the best times happen when we get to sitting around
with great conversations staring the show.

Bringing the out doors in is more pronounced than ever in patio décor. Clean lines
blended with comfort seating create invitingly modern and charming spaces.

The Unexpected
I this is one the of the things I like most about design. The is hidden corners and
unexpected finds.
How charming is this set up of chess! My fave design at the show!
It's not only a great way to entertain your guess but it adds so much interest and style
to the garden.

Thanks for swing by today. Stay posted for part two of Show Time in Full Bloom,
Let take a look at the dream home.

Stay Inspired

With all the photos we come across on the web, it's easy to get overwhelmed. However there are the moments when you say all the looking was so worth it. The moment when you once again become inspired. You may not always have the words to express the base of your inspiration...it just feels good. For me, it just needs to be that simple.

These two photos are a my two faves for today! I love the mood they evoke, simple yet powerful notes in design.

Found them on tumblr,

Find your inspiration where ever it calls you, pull from it and let it carry on.

Holiday Inspired

Of all the holiday seasons Christmas is my favourite time of year! Aside from all the warm feelings that fill the air and family gathering,  I love holiday decor. It's seems to be the one festive time that holds the most tradition. I think tradition is very much a part of what make it so special. I do however have to say, playing with new decor is kind of the way I like to go each year.

Get Gatsby for the Holidays!
Where do you get your inspiration for holiday design? For me much like most of my creative ventures I'm inspired by fashion, music, movies, and a whole host of other things and places that move me.

The Great Gatsby, a world of inspiration!

Dark Wall, Deep Wonder

The allure is undeniable, the look and moody feel of dark painted walls, does drawn you in. There is definite sense of the bold and refined. Some of the most creative spaces are in the darkest corner.
